1. Napoleon Caraccioli household, 1900 U.S. census, Middlesex County, New Jersey, population schedule, Woodbridge Township, enumeration district [ED] 71, supervisor's district [SD] 4, sheet 17A, dwelling 219, family 295.
The 1900 U.S. census shows Mary at 10 years old attending school and living with her parents on Blair Road along with her siblings, Edwin, Caroline, Dorothy, Charles, and her aunt, Caroline.

2. Catherine Longnecker household, 1910 U.S. census, Kings County, New York, population schedule, Borough of Brooklyn, enumeration district [ED] 368, supervisor's district [SD] 2, sheet 11, dwelling --, family 175.
The 1910 U.S. census shows Mary married for three years to Fred P. Miller living at 162 Eagle Street in Brooklyn, New York as boarders. Caroline, at age 15 is living with them as well. Neither Mary nor Caroline are employed at this census taking, but Fred is working as a detective for the railroad.

In 1920, Mary was living as a widow in a duplex in Tottenville, New York, along with Charles Walters, also widowed, who is listed as a boarder. Her birth-place is shown as Rossville, New York, and at this census she was not employed.

4. Charles W. Walters household, 1930 U.S. census, Richmond County, New York, population schedule, town of Tottenville, Staten Island, enumeration distriction [ED] 43-288, supervisor's district [SD] 27, sheet 6B, dwelling 91, family 119.

By 1930, Mary was married to Charles Walter and lived at 7522 Amboy Road, renting this home for $35 a month. She had two young daughters at this time, Anna J. 9 years old, and Lila M. 7 years old. Mary remained at home caring for her family, while Charles worked as a tin-smith.
