In 1900, Eva was 17 years old attending school. She lived at 50 Railroad Avenue in Bayonne with her parents and six siblings.

By 1910, Eva's father had been deceased 7 years. Her mother was taking in wash to help support the family. Louisa and Eva Coyle, both worked at a silk factory as weavers. Eva's 4 year old daughter was living with the family also. Jacob's brother, Guss was living with the family and worked at the oil yard; most likely Standard Oil.

By 1920, Eva had moved down to South Carolina and lived at 69 Cypress Street with her husband, daughter and her nephew Edwin. In 1930 the Coyle family (James, Eva & Edwin) were now living at 55 Cypress Street. James was still working at an oil refinery with Eva remaining at home. Their daughter Anna is not listed. Though she may have passed away, at 23 years of age she may have married and possibly living elsewhere.

Notes:
Eva's father was born in Ohio. Her mother was born in Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1871. After Eva's sister Louisa died the day after giving birth to Edwin Coley, Eva & her husband James Coyle took him in and raised him as their own.
